Although super middleweight Simon Ruvalcaba has an outwardly nominal record of 4-10-2, he has a master plan to put himself on the fistic map. Fighting out of his native Lake Tahoe, which is located on the California/Nevada border, the 31-year-old journeyman would like to put together a few wins before taking on Joey Gilbert, a star of season one of “The Contender,” who hails from nearby Reno.

Briggs Foreman won in Elko, NV March 6th, 2010 in a big way. Not only did he get knock out of the night he was honored with Fight Of The Night - he gave an absolute MMA clinic.

Briggs started out as a boxer, an amateur for Manuel Arce of Reno, NV. The last couple of years he has been training at Ken Shamrock's Lion's Den as well as working as a boxing instructer.  Briggs is one of the up an coming MMA fighters at the Lions Den.  Under the guise of Ken Shamrock - Briggs has been able to take his highschool wrestling to much bigger heights training in the American Grappling Ken Shamrock himself developed.

Briggs' fighting career actually started while still in diapers, he used to accompny his father to the East Side Gym in Salinas, Ca. Watching the day in and day out - old school boxing gave him an understanding of the sweet science. His family moved to Cresent City, CA where his Dad soon met up with Dale Sanderson of the Yurok tribe. A former boxing champion Sanderson had a gym on the rez.  Briggs' father signed up to be the main sparring partner for Dale's up an coming pro grandson and Briggs would accompany his dad to the gym - Briggs was the same size at 6 years old as one of Dales amateur fighters who was 10 at the time and Briggs was recruited to do some light sparring for the small amateur boxer. It was then that Brigg's talent was realized. He bobbed, he weaved he jabbed and threw combinations at the early age of 6.  Dale was so excited to see such a young gifted boxer in his gym.  Eventually Brigg's family moved and Dale died.

Briggs has been growing as a fighter since and he is a gifted instructor as anyone will tell you at the Lions Den. Be looking for Briggs to make an impact in the MMA world!
